The Persimmon Tree
i
A little mouse has one precious gift he wants to deliver: a persimmon for his beloved mother in heaven. Carrying the fruit higher and higher, he tries everything he can to reach the sky. But for someone so small, heaven feels impossibly far away. Directed by Taiwanese filmmaker Chao-chun Yeh, The Persimmon Tree is a tender 2D animated short about love, grief, childhood and remembering someone we have lost. Created with a warm, hand-painted picture-book style, the short film transforms a simple journey into a touching story about the things we wish we could still give to the people we miss.
